We've been working with ShoutOK from the beginning. We've been in contact with them numerous times and offered ideas, suggestions, pleas, and complaints. But it doesn't appear that we are going to get anything done this way.
I like what ShoutOK has. I like the Forum/Blog/UserPage/Chat Format that ShoutOK offers, but the code is unreliable, the chat is unmoderated, the forums are busted all up. The concept is there, but the implementation isn't.
So, the Loudmouths are venturing out on their own. We are going to attempt to establish our own website that will initially serve Forums, Blogs, Chat, and News feeds. We are still trying to figure out about whether to host personal user pages or if we should try to work with another site like myspace or something.
We will need help if anyone out there is familiar with web development and tech such as Java, ASP, PHP, CSS, IRC, BB Systems, etc. This is strictly a volunteer deal.

The Loudmouths got together as a group and went to the Oklahoma City Glenn Beck show and had an opportunity to meet and welcome Glenn to Oklahoma City.
Well, I cannot get into the chat since yesterday afternoon. The Wife is encountering the same problem from her laptop at home on the other side of the city. This basically means that either both of us are experiencing the exact same problem (Unlikely) or this baboon turd of a program finally died.
Bout damn time!
This POS program was destined for disaster from the very beginning. It is the general consensus of the intellectual population of the KTOK chat room that this program is the worst release of any chat software we have ever seen. The stability is shoddy and often has issues with it's connection, yet never this long. The chat filter is designed to catch and censor "potentially" controversial words such as christ, butt, jew, balls. Yet it allows several words that we all would agree as profane. If you are going to censor the chat, do it formally and uniformly. Not just a few words from the religious majority.
Hopefully the whole thing is being revamped during the down time or at the very least is being replaced by IRC. Until they get their heads out of their butt, those who need to may reach me on Windows Live (MSN/AIM).

I contacted Catalog.com -> Developer of the technology used by subsidiary site, Onesite.com who hosts shoutOk.com. (This is the FIRST resource I could find on any of these websites that had any sort of support contact). The support personnel indicated that though the chat was released, it is still "Beta" which means it wasn't finished.
For those who are members of KTOK and this Group, I suggest we all look at Windows Live (MSN and AIM) for a chat option or find another web chat to use. ShoutOK's is just too unreliable.
I'm hoping the shots will continue for the next few years and is used effectively against Mr. I-Tend-To-Offend-When-I-Speak tries to run for office again.
Honestly, if he's wondering why so many people are disturbed by his "SNAFU", imagine the wars this man starts as a President?

Lets hope he's dumped on the side of the road next election.
